Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of cifam.ca and your enrollment in any certification program offered by the Canadian Institute of Facial Aesthetic Medicine ("CIFAM", "we", "us") of West Vancouver, British Columbia. By using this website, registering for a program or attending a residency, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or enroll.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information and forms part of this agreement.

Eligibility & Licensure Verification

CIFAM programs are open exclusively to healthcare professionals who hold a valid Canadian professional licence in one of the following designations: physician (MD), dentist (DMD/DDS), nurse practitioner (NP), registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).

Every registrant's professional licence is verified before the hands-on residency. No one treats a model without a verified licence.

You must provide accurate registration details at enrollment. If we cannot verify your licensure, you will not be seated in the hands-on residency, and we will contact you by email to resolve the matter — including, where appropriate, transferring your enrollment to a later cohort.

Tuition & Payment

All tuition is stated in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes. Payment is processed through our Shopify checkout; CIFAM does not store your payment card numbers.

Financing is available through Beautifi. A financing arrangement is a separate credit agreement between you and Beautifi, on Beautifi's terms — CIFAM is not a lender and is not a party to that agreement.

Your seat in a cohort is confirmed once payment, or an approved financing arrangement, is complete.

Certification & Scope of Practice

On successful completion of the didactic curriculum, examinations and supervised hands-on residency, CIFAM issues a certificate documenting your training.

A CIFAM certificate documents your training. It does not, by itself, confer scope of practice or authorize any procedure.

You are responsible for practising within the scope of practice determined by your regulatory college — the BCCNM for nurses, the CPSBC for physicians and the BCCOHP for oral health professionals in British Columbia, or the equivalent regulator in your jurisdiction — and in accordance with applicable law. Our curriculum is built to the standards these regulators expect of clinicians providing injectable treatments, and your certificate documents that training for insurers, employers and colleges. BC regulators do not accredit or endorse private courses, and nothing on this website or in your certificate should be read as a claim that they do.

You are also responsible for maintaining your registration in good standing and carrying the professional liability protection your college requires.

Cancellations & Transfers

Cancellation and transfer requests are handled by email at info@cifam.ca. Cohort transfers may be accommodated, subject to seat availability in a later cohort. Each request is reviewed individually — the earlier you write to us before your residency weekend, the more options we will have.

The Hands-On Residency & Model Sessions

The hands-on residency is hosted at Monarch MD in West Vancouver, British Columbia. All model treatment sessions are performed under the direct, on-site supervision of the program's instructors, and models are provided by CIFAM.

During the residency you agree to follow the directions of the supervising instructors, comply with all safety and infection-control protocols, and conduct yourself with the professionalism expected of a licensed clinician. A registrant whose conduct compromises the safety of a model, another registrant or the clinic may be withdrawn from the practical session; continued participation in the program will then be addressed with that registrant directly.

Intellectual Property

All course materials — including manuals, slides, videos, injection protocols and assessment tools — are the property of CIFAM or its licensors. Enrollment grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use these materials for your own professional education. You may not copy, distribute, record, publish or use them to teach others without CIFAM's prior written consent.

The CIFAM name and marks may not be used except to state truthfully that you completed the program.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CIFAM is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the program or this website, and CIFAM's total liability for any claim is limited to the tuition fees you paid for the program giving rise to that claim.

As a licensed healthcare professional, you remain solely responsible for your own clinical judgment, patient care decisions and regulatory compliance after training. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Website Content

The content of cifam.ca is provided as general information about CIFAM's programs. It is not medical advice, and it is not legal or regulatory advice. Regulatory summaries on this site reference the published standards of the BCCNM, CPSBC and BCCOHP in good faith; you are responsible for knowing and observing the current standards of your own college.

Governing Law, Changes & Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, and the courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and your continued use of the site or enrollment after an update constitutes acceptance. Questions: info@cifam.ca.
